Water Ramps in Lakes...?

so me and a friend are planning on building a water ramp into the lake at his cottage, and i was wondering...how much will it hurt landing into the lake without those jets or whatever softening up the water?

and if anyone has built or been on one, do you have any advice or tips about them that can make it better?

if your falling more than 15-20 feet into water its gonna hurt. more than 25 and its gonna hurt really bad.
 
if i were you id buy some water filters that move around the water and bubble up the top. Some people i know have them at their lakes to keep the water moving around i think that would work pretty good
 
watch jon olson video blog they jump super super high and into a lake one of the times. i dont think there were any jets there.
 
not really for 15-20 if he lands right. at ski camp they didnt turn the bubble on on the smaller ramp and it was fine just a tiny smack. at any height if you belly flop its gonna suck though but its not as bad if you have a wetsuit. but 25+ you will pry feel some pain
 
alright, well ill probably be only 15 feet up and yea i saw the video blog and that kinda got me thinking its possible
