Water in compressor

i made a tee gun today and i wanted to see if it would work. so i plugged in the hose and the compressor and it started misting! but then i took it off the water and the air. when i tryed to reconnect it to the air WITHOUT the water connected i got blasted in the face by water from my compressor line.. whats wrong? also how do you set your psi at one thing i have a craftsman compressor and am unsure. thanks for the help all.

compressors produce a lot of water, when was the last time you drained the compressor tank? There should be a relief valve on the bottom of the tank.

yeah compressor produce some water. i made an external mix snow gun and a little water will come out the air nozzle even though the air and water lines never mix

If there is no pressure indecator at the Compressor, you can get some Link with a indicator on it between the compressor hose and the valve of your gun. You can regulate the pressure with that thing.

(Filter Pressure Regulator)

make sure you drain your tank pretty often, like every time you use it, cause it could rust through the tank and cause it to explode
