Water damage stickers in cell phones...

well, the battery one is still white.. but water got on the outside speaker, and now it barely works.. so i cant hear it when it rings or messages go off..

so if there arent any other water damage stickers, i can still get it replaced... cuz i dont think insurance covers water damage either..

they are in the headphone jack of the new iphones. Found that one out at the ATT store after claiming my phone just stopped working...

wow your phone is a piece of shit

my blackburry has gone to the bottom of the pool three times and still works like a champ.

i mean, i had to let it sit in a bag of rice for a week each time but its a lil tank, working like its brand new

Blackberry's are ok. I got one myself recently. It's my first 'smart phone', although I don't have internet on it. My first one broke in two weeks. My second one, which I still have now, I ahve 3 weeks and still going strong, although I killed the memory card slot.

Since January 1st 2012 I've had 5 phones already. I kill those things way too fast. I've probably had 25+ phones in my life haha. Nothing beats Nokia when it comes to durability though.

my friend convinced the people that the water damage sticker on his iphone turned a color because he licked it, no lie. He got a new phone for free

There not stupid? THERE not stupid? THERE NOT STUPID?

They're not stupid

this, but with my Droid 2.

I have dropped it in a creek multiple times and lost it in piles of snow for hours.

Just stick it in rice for a day or so and its fine again.

most phones with a removable battery have it under the battery. easy enough to replace or cover up but yea with iphones it sucks

water is only bad for electronics when they're on, when there's current. So if you're phones off or you shut it off right after it gets wet before you put it in rice, no damage done unless you turn it on before the waters out of it

So i left it off the rest of the night, and had a fan blowing on it. The speaker seems to be working now.

I had the same issues. Dropped the phone in the snow at my local hill. Found it next run, luckily. Speakers didnt work for two days, but working like a charm at the moment. Where is the sticker, actually? Anyone can dig up some photos or something? Would like to check mine out.

Yea, i was at a wedding, and we all ended up in the pool, and my phone was on the sidewalk, apparently not far enough away.. Most of the time the sticker is either on the battery or underneath it.. as far as non iphones go.. its just a white little sticker..

lol @ thinking phone manufacturer has anything to do with whether or not a phone will work after getting wet. it's 95% luck and 5% what you do immediately after it getting wet....i.e. if you try and put power to/through the phone by turning it on when it's wet, you're more likely to fry it, etc.
