Watchmen

i have yet to see it (hopefully going this week), but my parents saw it. Dad thought it was great, Mum thought it was boring (to be expected). definitely looks like a sick movie though.
 
So fucking pumped for it... I'm about 3/4 done the graphic which I apparently have to read before I see it, so as soon as that's done I'm buying tickets.
 
so fucken long i liked it a lot but the people iw as with didnt so i ended up fucken leaving like 3/4 way through the movie so gay now i have to wait to find it on one of those movie websites if anyone knows where i can fidn it+K
 
I personally hated it. There was so much unnecessary gratuitous blood that had no effect on the storyline. Almost all the actors delivered their lines like they were reading them for the first time, and none of the characters were charismatic enough to make you want to root for them. It had good potential, but after the first 15 mins or so it went sharply downhill, and stayed there for the next 2 and a half hours. Oh, and wayyyy too many big blue dicks.
 
i agree that there was way too much unnecessary blood and i felt the story went off on so many tangents it was really confusing. i thought the characters were decent but the story was very long and at the end of the movie i had no clue what the theme or moral of this story was haha love the way it was filmed though due to the 300/sin city director just a little hard to follow and yeah blue dicks...not so good
 
I read the comic a while back, so obviously I was pumped when they made the movie.
I went down to Seattle and saw it in IMAX yesterday, and I have to say, I really enjoyed the movie. From a comic book fans perspective though, they made it too cheesy in some parts (ex. flamethrower during the sex scene). I thought they balanced catering to the comics fan and the casual fan pretty well, and overall a solid movie. Didn't quite live up to my expectations, but oh well.8.5/10 (imho)
 
I thought it was pretty good, I'd give it a 8/10. It was quite long at 2 hours and 42 minutes haha. And yes, there was a lot of blue dick. My god. They could of just made him like a ken doll but no.

The one thing that was amazing was the sound track. Loved it.
 
I loved it. I'm sure if I were critical I could find flaws but I thought it was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I'm not going to give out any spoilers but I got chills during the fight scenes.
 
i didn't like doctor manhattan at all. He straight up sounded really feminine through the whole movie. Na dif he had such great powers, who couldn't he just stop all the bad things from happening? And him being naked the whole time was really not necessary.

I've never read the comics, i guess i should have before i saw the movie..
 
to be honest i wan't paying attention at some times, my date was a little more interesting..
 
Hahah yeah, I missed some of the movie as well, so maybe I would have enjoyed it more if I wasn't interested in other things. But I watched most of it, and what I saw was shitty.
 
i didnt go see it yet, but it sounds pretty dumb. i heard that a good hero guy can control atoms. how can someone control atoms? if u could control atoms in real life there would be no crime. atoms are literally everything.
 
I guarantee if you're blazed, the big blue dicks are going to make you bug out....so much male frontal nudity in that movie. The ratio of naked men to naked women was like 10:1.
