Watchmen movie

Yeah I was kinda bummed there was no giant squid at the end..

But it still blew my mind!

Definitely one of the best movies I've seen in a while.

Wait, what? How does it it end if its not the giant squid death explosion thing? That sucks.

Well its still a death explosion thing, there's just no squid involved because the squid itself had too much back story to fit into the movie.

Style/Cinematography was fucking amazing, there was a shot in the opening fight scene that actually made me mumble "that's beautiful" 10/10

Soundtrack was one of the best ones I've heard in years 10/10

Acting, like OP said, some was awesome, some was terrible. Actor who played Dr. Manhattan was horrendous. Rourshank was overall really good but it seemed like the actor prepared by watching the new batman movie for a month, the chick was good, Comedian was excellent. Owlguy was pretty good but nothing special, and there was something about him I didn't really like. 7/10

Plot: I've never really read the whole comic or anything, but it was just a little too esoteric I thought, just for the sake of being esoteric. 7/10

Dialouge was passable but pretty cheesy in parts 6/10

Special effects were epic, but I noticed a clipping issue or two with Dr. Manhattan 9/10.

Overall, it was pretty epic and everything, and it was really good, but it was a little drawn out and the ending wasn't magnificent and it was somehow missing that special something that makes a movie seriously incredible. Fight scenes were really cool and the sex scene was fucking SEXY.

Def worth a watch, I'll probably see it again in theaters, it seems like the kind of movie that might be better the second time. I've never read the comic though, everyone I saw it with that had read the comic was really pissed off.

special effects were pretty sick, acting mediocre at best, I never read the comics and there was way to much going on... soundtrack was balls didnt fit the movie doesnt even take place in the 70's. The movie seemed forced to me. It was strange movie that obviously took a huge amount of work and effort but didnt really work for me.

It was okay, very loyal, and the slight change to the ending doesn't

offend. Some things were bad (soundtrack was very hit-and-miss and when

it missed it missed big), some translated really well (the opening

montage was great). Overall it didn't do the book justice, but that's

nothing new in movie adaptations. I think some of the problem was that

taking the words off the page and putting them in actors' mouths robs

them of some of their effect. That and the serial novel quality of the

books aforementioned allowed each episode to have an individual impact

rather than blurring them together and fitting them into 2:45. I'm

satisfied, but it's not a great stand-alone movie, it really requires

familiarity with the source material to enjoy to its fullest. I'll wait

for the director's cut, see how that works out (it's about 35 minutes longer apparently, so well over 3 hours).

butchered... i thought it was a pretty sick movie, but i would definitely suggest reading the graphic novel (or the comics) first.
but it was pretty freakin good.

just got back from seeing it and holy shit what can i say? it was incredible, best movie iv seen in awhile. i never read the comics/novel but plan to and go see it again. stated above the soundtrack was really good but when it was a miss it just failed. oh and that girl was hot

The full unreleased movie is about 4 hours I heard, because he did an entire animation for the whole black freighter comic thing.

I just saw it, it was pretty epic, i dont read comics and i enjoyed it alot. Effects and shit were amazing, blue dicks were unfortch but oh well. Overall a well made movie, kept my attention the whole time and some of the fight scenes were fucking epic, some bad ass characters too.
