Watches! I could use some advice.

So I'm doing my pilots license and need to get a watch. At the moment I'm borrowing a watch but I need one of my own. I've been searching around on some manufacturers sites (Nixon, Vestal, Fossil, just to name a few) but I haven't really found one that I love. I'm not much of a watch guy but I don't want to get some cheap timex either so thats out of the question. The watch will be a graduation present so price isn't soo much of an issue, I'm looking around a $500 max. I need it to last me a long time since I'll be using it for my commercial license as well. I'm hoping there are some watch people here who can help me out by recomending either brands to check out or even better, an actual model.
Heres what I'm looking for in a watch:- Dual dials (two time zones)- All black (or atleast dark greys) either leather strap or metal.- Some waterproofness, I don't need to be able to surf with it but I don't want to have to be constanly worrying about getting it wet.- Durable, not industructable but I'd rather not be constantly worrying about breaking it.- Analog

If someone can point me in the right direction that woul be great! Any recomendations are welcome.

I think you should be able to pick up a Citizen or a Tissot for around $500. Maybe a Suunto if you want more functions and there's always Nixon, but you said you didn't find any you really like. Seiko's are nice too.

I was gonna say get something really cool like an omega, or breitling because they are pilots watches, but then i read your budget haha. You could get a citizen or something for that price, look at the blue angels one.

I got the Freestyle Nightvision for $140 and I think their dual dial is somewhere around $300. Very accurate for the past six years; always on when I ski, swim, bike and no problems.

I have a seiko chronograph watch and it's fantastic.

I get a lot of complements and it lives through everything i throw at it, check em' out.

If your not looking for a watch that is all playerish, and blinged out, look at sunto watches. Waterproof, tells elevation, wind speed, air pressure ect. Also they can tell you your heart rate, miles ran/skiied, also tell you your total vert skiied in a day also with how many runs you have taken.

Tucks, I read the thread man. I've looked at nixon and wasn't really fond of any.
Skiingslikewhoa, the banks is dope and very much what I'm looking for but I'm not sure if it's accurate enough without any notches I mean. I think I'd be better off with something with at least hour initiators.
I'm looking for something classy but not like all bling and gold and jewels and crap. Japanada, those watches are crazy tech but not quite what I had in mind.
Thanks for all the suggestions and if theres any more post em. I guess I'm just insanely picky when it comes to this stuff.
