I discovered a few days ago that my Leather Watch Strap suffers from Leather Stink. How do I make it go away? How do I prevent it?

soak it over night in baking soda and water

Thats a great idea Alpen, but I don't have the tool necessary for removing and replacing my strap.

isn't it only held on by a band pin?

Yes, but there is a tool. And I lost it. Its a big deal for me to take it out.

only suggestion is to get a new watch without leather, thats what I am doin for my BDay!

I can't get a new watch, If I had money, I'd buy a new burner. Then I'd buy a new backpack... yeah. And my current watch is very good. It's reliable and fashionalbe.
