what are your thoughts? and any tips from you whom ski there all winter? some good places to eat and anything interesting to do? just watched en route cascadia and wow im excited! excite me more and tell me what i have been missing all these years!

yeah we are hitting them up in the order of the picture, tickets booked and now we are just booking hotels

and a rental car

This guy is right. Don't believe the rumors. All it does is rain here. Rain rain rain...

when you go to alpental make sure you stop at the taco shack by the cheveron just off the exit! best tacos on earth!

FUCKKK that

Lee's grocery has been holding it down for me and my friends since like 10th grade. Free hot lamp food and big private bathroom to change in for days.

I never even step foot in the lodge or parking lot at Central Snoqualmie. Park under the lift, drive half mile to lunch, then back again. Same story with alpental.

tell me about it. plane tickets are booked and all set($360)... our rental suv is like 600...then we are averaging a 100 for each mtn, even though most of the lift tickets are under 60 bucks soo theres like a grand there then hotels roughly 800-900...then gas and random shit another 500.

Last year was la Nina and it still rained the entire season, most mountains actually shut down in January because of so much rain

The deep fried corn dogs at the little coffee stand infront of the mini mart also are a must. God I cannot wait to get one of those.

This.

Too many o' days did I grow up skiing in the rain. As much as people joke about it, you are skiing low elevation costal resorts. It will always be right at the rain/snow barrier temps. Some people chose to deal with it, some chose to move away. I chose the latter....

But really, you'll probably have fun. Don't go to Mission Ridge though. I did my first 360 there, and that's about all it was good for...

Oh and not to burst bubbles, but you won't just show up and start En-Route-Cascadia-ing all over the place. You can get similar stuff for sure, but they had perfect weather and conditions with privileged access normal folk don't get. They clearly shot before the lifts/mountains were open.

But again, you will still have lots o' fun.

First off all, go south to north, otherwise it will go from bad to worse, and not worse to bad.

Second, don't go. It will fucking suck. All it does is rain. If you don't have gore-tex, you will get trench foot and shit.

Half the time it's raining when i get on a chair, and barely snowing at the top. Elevation gain=about 1000 feet. Sooo you get about 500 feet of 32 degree slush, then it's back to some good ol northwest rain.

Oh and i heard mt.baker dun exploded... so you might want to cross that off your list...

o yeah and we will be there in late jan early feb if that makes any difference, if not o well we can only hope for the best. i've skied some rainy winters in NY, its prob worse in concrete land but hopefully we get lucky

I said bite your tongue because i dont want it to rain...not telling you to "hey kid stfu" dude get over yourself im not even acting like i know how your mtns are and certainly not trying to be a know it all...get off your high horse guy. im hoping for the best.

lol, this guy is probably the "oh hey look its sunny!" weekend warrior, i bet he only skis like 3 times a year, and if he did ski more than that he would check the regional forums

you should just skip crystal all together, just a whole bunch of gapers and ski patrol bitching at you for 75 dollars a day in cascade concrete sking through the rain and if you take one step off the groomed blue square or green circle, patrol will lurch at you from behind the tree and ram you with their massive dildo which they all have on hand.

Too bad you can't ski on hope. Unless you've invented skis that can? You should hook me up. I'm poor and need a sponsor.
