Washing ski boot liners?

So I was messing around with my boots today, and took one of my liners out to notice that there was mould developing on the outside of the liner. I immediately checked the other boot to see if it had a similar problem, but it was fine.

I remembered I was victim to a game of shoe last year, so proceeded to drink a beer from my boot (claim), so I'm guessing the yeast or something in the beer has caused this.

I dried my boots all the time last season at the end of the season.

Does anyone have any advice for cleaning/washing liners?

I know this should be gear talk but I wanted responses pretty urgently!

THis is something I have been wondering as well. As my boots are terrible smelling in the spring. I have heard throwing them in the freezer could kill the bacteria.

Would that just freeze the bacteria and then as soon as you took them out again they would unfreeze? Or would it actually kill them so they would be "gone"?

No experience with mold, but I've saved some seriously foul liners by putting them in the sun in toasty summer heat for a few days (bring em in at night to avoid dew). Worked like a miracle. Doesn't hurt to put the shell in the sun for an afternoon either.

Would this hurt the intuition liners? Like would I have to re mold them?

Clean the sides with some water don't get them to wet just enough to clean the mild off then leave them to dry. Clean the shells out really well too. The heat from the sun won't be sufficient to make them mild able again.
