cross posted from tgr, thought it was important to put here too.

info from the site: http://www.wasatchcanyons.slco.org/index.html

"The Wasatch Canyons Tomorrow process is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for the public to help guide the policies which will form the basis of a revision of the 1989 Salt Lake County Wasatch Canyons Master Plan for City Creek, Emigration, Red Butte, Parley’s, Millcreek, Big Cottonwood, and Little Cottonwood Canyons. The Master Plan is the basis for the County’s land use planning policies and ordinances.

Among other things, the process will explore the impacts of increased canyon use and address issues such as land use and development, watershed protection and water quality, recreation, natural resource management, transportation, and public safety."

there is a survey you can take on the site to voice your opinion on the above issues and more.

if you use the canyons, take 20 min and do the survey. it will make a difference.

while this is awesome skiing minded, they're fucking over the off leash dog policies in a ton of places which makes me and my pupper sad.

i sympathize, it was wierd for me to see that there are places you can't bring dogs when i moved here.

a big part of that survey is about the water rights and things that would directly impact your dog leash policies, you should voice your opinion.
