Last night when i was searchbarring for my Web Design thread i found this thing where you can slice up a pic and make a poster out of it using normal paper.

the site was the site washttp://www.blockposters.com/step1.aspx

that looks sick man. i was going to do one of those in my dorm hopefully it turns out as good.

my.php

Took with my blackberry so the quality isn't that great but it turned out pretty well. It looks a little crooked in the pic but it looks straight in person. Turned out pretty nicely.

the difference is that I think rasterbation converts it all to dots which is different than this where it just slices the image.

Yes dude! Awesome find! I've been looking for stuff to put on the walls of my boring apartment. Sounds like a job for the school printers. Thanks again + karma

great idea! could someone put a closer look pic to see how pixelated it is, I know its not that pixelated but just want to see

thanks

haha dude i was planning on making a GIANT one of that pic, it's my desktop background. To the guy who was asking about pixelation, it's a tiny bit pixely but not bad. Just find a high quality picture if you want to do it.

so i did it and wen i am going to print it, the pre print dealio looks ubberrr pixely

did it do this for everykone?

what sort of res is the best?

i mean 1280 x 1024 isn't going to be high enough resolution to make a decent looking 5 x 5 A4 sized wall poster is it?

I need somewhere to get stock photos or at least 3000 x 2000 or something

The one I used was 1600x1200. A little pixelated, but really not that bad. You can only tell if you're really really close which isn't the point. It looks best viewed from a little ways away to get the full 'window/tile' effect.

i tried making the same one as the thread creator but only at 3x3, and it was super pixelated. I only printed one frame to see, and it was gross.
