Any newschoolers still playing this game? I've recently picked it back up due to summer boredom and a resolution to stop playing Wowcrack. If anyone is intrested send me a message I play under the name Ginitonic (My old WoW name). I usually just host custom games, mainly Hero Line Wars and Footmen vs Grunts. But I do play 4v4 often. So if ya do play post your names, and maybe we can get a NS clan going.
 
I usually play 3v3 on US EAST. my name is Gordon_Freeman, but I play under other names too.

I LOVE wc3.... i've played it for almost 4-5 years now and its still good fun.
 
Yeah man I've been playing for a good while now, I cant even remember when I started, it never gets old.
 
wow is only fun if you have way too much time. like over 8 hours per day. thats the only way you can get good.

but who plays dota? ive been playing the AI versions lately, ill post my name once i get a new bnet acct, my old one probably died
 
Never have been a big DOTA guy. It is probably because I suck and get rocked by all the people that have been playing it for years.
 
over 8 hours a day? are you shitting me? I play 8 hours a week and i consider myself pretty good.
 
It takes a lot of grinding to get to 80, though it gets easier with every patch.

You have to admit it, to achieve level 80, get geared, and maintain a high level of skill in endgame content takes a lot of time, 8+ hours status.

Is why I don't play WoW. It is really fun though, but don't you want to spend life living? Basement tans are not cool, and neither is the process of getting them.
 
yea i guess.. it's not like i sit in my basement though playing wow. why does everyone associate wow with having no life? I think people underestimate the number of people who actually play wow and have a life. the guild i'm in is a bunch of stoners and all we do is raid random towns like Darkshire and just talk about smoking weed. the game is nothing but a object to toss around free time with to me.
 
exactly. you can play around 8 hours per week and maybe get to 80, and eventually get some welfare pvp gear, but playing at the highest level requires way to much time.

 
Yeah, but to be good at the stupid game takes an unhealthy amount of devotion.

true that. i think its just because people always talk about raiding and having the best gear and stuff, and people like you who just screw around and have fun are a lot less common.
 
oh yea I do agree there. That's why you really cant let it get to you. If you are a video game kinda guy, and you have a lot of free time, this game will hook you faster then a hot milf at a grocery store. I, for one, never liked video games before wow and had a life, lol, so it never really got to me and it took me two years to get to 80. (But now that i am 80 i wish I could go back because leveling is more fun IMO.) But yea, WoW is heading towards a shit hole right now and the game is getting really easy. I will admit it's fun but you just gotta realize its a game. Haha idk why I wrote all this but yea.
 
I hear it's a breeze to level up compared to the 'good old days'.

Your casual approach to the game is a great way of looking at, but at the end of the day, my Ret Pally isn't 80 and I would have to nerd-out to get there and have some endgame fun.
