true video part has:
*diversity of tricks
*diversity of locations
*novelty (in tricks, style, location)
*flow that changes with flow of the song in a creative way (flashed of white or black frames with the beat do not count).
*best trick or worst crash at the end
*decent length
this is not asking that much.
examples of true video parts:
Tanner in Happy Days
Pep in 1242
Dash in Stereotype
Crighton in Strike 3
Jon in Propoganda
Certain people can pull off great films without complete video parts (Ostness). But they abandon the cookie-cutter ski (or skate or snow) movie formula in a creative way. Poor Boyz has yet to do that, so their latest attempts at movies have been stale. I bought War anyways 'cause I hope things are turning around--PBP used to make great movies. But from where I'm standing, they seem to be going the route of Mack Dawg.
