Ok, to deviate from the normal political post, lets try to keep this one clean. No arguments, as noone can argue that war is good. Here is a site showcasing the horrors of war as evidenced by Al-Jezerra TV. I'd just like to take a slight moment to have everyone back off from the squabbling and reflect that there are REAL PEOPLE out there dying (both Iraqi AND American.) So just think of them for a moment.

yeah war itself is bad, but a lot of good can come out of it, like in this war and in world war 2

now im not quite sure here, but isnt the word bad carrying positive connotations lately? for instance, that is one bad ass mother fucker doesnt describe someone with an ugly butt and a taste for well worn box, but someone who is considered 'cool' and to be respected or even feared in some circles. you can see where my ocnfusion as to your standpoint on the war comes form then i hope.

If 'pro'gress is defined as the act of moving forward, then 'con'gress must mean...
 
im just kidding man. i agree that war is not a good thing, however important. and while arguably this current one was not deathly necessary, some of our past conflicts have been important and have resulted in good things (i.e. the American Revolution and the Civil War). so while killing people and the actual act of war is never good, it is possible for positive changes to come out of the fighting. it remains to be seen what the aftermath of this war will lend to history.

Exactly, 9/11 didn't really piss me off that much, saw it coming a long way off, was only a matter of time. What pisses me off is that so many people die in third world countries of starvation and disease before they even have a chance, now that is sad.

Thanks for this thread, Andy... I mean that sincerely. Sometimes we all get too caught up in bickering about who's right that we forget to remember all the people who are really affected by all this.
