im looking to buy a video camera and dont know what to get. i want to be able to make ski edits with it. does anyone know of any good video cameras?

+k for good replys

my Panasonic pv-gs320. Its an awesome cam to learn on, really easy to use. Its not HD but it is 3ccd so you get pretty good colours. MINT condition, I've used it maybe 12-15 hours. Comes with a wide angle lens, tapes, case, ect. Check my threads. PM me if your interested.

I recently purchased a sony CX100 and love it! The quality's crisp, the range of colors is excellent and it shoots 1080p hd video.

Not to mention it's compact and easy to bring skiing. I got mine refurbished for $400 with a case and extra battery.

And here's a video I recently made (quality's crap because of stupid iMovie...)

I dunno your skill level, budget, or anything since you didn't give any information at all... But the Canon HV40 is a sick cam! It's tape, but it's nice having a physical copy of your footage, and plus HDV video is much easier on your computer to edit than AVCHD footy that most SD cams these days use... But other than that, it's got great colors, full HD, and plenty of other features that will allow you to delve a little into manual settings without overwhelming you. Definitely a sick camera for a beginner and even for slightly more advanced users with a lower budget!

I have a Sony handycam DCR-SR45 i am trying to get rid of for cheep if you want, no HD but shots are decent. PM if interested
