Want to work w a touring set up. Thinking about hybrid frame bindings so I don’t have to give up and boots and get full use of my skiis all season.

I don’t want a pin set up just yet.

What do y’all feel about touring big mountain in alpine boots?

Is walk mode as big of a hype as it sounds?

Fuck that noise. Get a pin setup. Seriously, it's just so much more efficient, you can go further, use less energy, and ski more.

Keep your alpine boots for alpine and use your touring boots for touring.

Touring can be as enjoyable or as shitty as you want to make it. Frame bindings+no walk mode= a lot of work and a very frustrating setup. Touring boots+pins= much more natural walking motion and enjoyable touring ski. King pins are a great option. if ya arent into pins on the downhill then you could go with the cast system

if your gonna tour any kind of distance get the real deal. AT boots at the very least. Frame bindings would work but they are heavy and suck.

If your gonna just do short distance outside the boundaries just hike.

By the way, chances are, there's a touring boot with a very similar internal shell shape.. unless you've done a super big custom job, it should be all G.
