Want to move into Silverthorne with us for $380 a month?

Me and a buddy are looking for a house in summit for this winter. we may have a 3rd as well, but we won't be able to be there until around dec 12. How many people are already in this house?

Fuck VR. They are assholes.

It's gotta be a year lease. Sorry guys. I don't want people flaking on me and my two other roomies.

Pretty sure if you were blacklisted it's only for the remainder of the current season unless there were other conditions.

Maybe it is for life, I dunno, don't quote me on that.
Also, that is a sick deal by the way.
Good luck getting someone tho, I'll spread the word. A few people I know are looking for places, def spread the word for you.

It's a year lease, and we want people for the whole year. We are moving in next week, but if people want to move in Nov 1st then that's fine.

VR is a good company to work for if you work in the correct dept. and if in that dept your place of work is legit. Working at the right hotel can be a super good time for sure. Dont think VR is the most evil company in the world because remember it is corporation and all corporations will have at least some evil in them.

This is a great deal kids for summit. You wont find anything less than that. I would be down, but im living in downtown breck probably.

Fuck Pat Campbell. No more Friday Night Lights, no more fireworks (anywhere), ski school instructors HAVE to wear a helmet, we have a 6 million dollar bridge, my pay was cut, etc.

^ Exactly. Wrong dept. If you are a ski instructor for vail resorts, then someone just did not tell you something. Unfortunately, some learn the hard way.

yah seriously, boo hoo, if you were an instructor than you made a huge mistake from the beginning...i would rather do lifts again than instruct, and lifts are fucking miserable, but at least you get a steady paycheck and aren't at constant risk of getting fired because they over hired for a tourism-dependant department.
im doing yellow jackets in vail this year and it's going to be the best job ive ever had. all i do is ski all day and help people it out...oh, and i got a dollar-an-hour raise from last year...i seriously love working for VR

yellow jackets...i just said that
im not sure if it exists anywhere except vail...it's like a combination of ski patrol and that bullshit "mountain safety officer" thing that a lot of mountains have...i think breck has a similar department but might call it something else
patrol sits in their HQ until they're called to roll out on a serious situation, but since their resources are valuable and need to be on call, we ski around constantly and try to make sure they dont get called out unless it's totally necessary. like if someone just needs help finding directions, we do that. and if someone fell down and is crying for an evac but arent really hurt, we try to scrape the sand out of their vagina and send them on their way so patrol doesnt have to waste time carrying them down the mountain. shit like that. but we only have to deal with like 3-4 things a day, so most of the time we just cruise. i dont really consider it "work" per se...

No, I know what they are. We have them at Key too. Super chill dudes. I just want to know the name of the job because I can never seem to figure it out or find it.

i have some friends that have done that for the past few years...it doesn't seem like too bad of a gig, although you are extremely limited at key from doing anything fun while in your yellow jacket...the boarder i knew that did it would ski on her days at work because if you get caught jumping, riding switch, jibbing, going fast...so pretty much riding how you normally would you can lose your job, and i've heard they are a lil more intense at key than at some of the other vr mountains...but yeah if you're curious pm me and i'll get in touch with them to find out job titles etc...

all you have to do is switch your jacket when you're on break and no one should bother you...and the job is called mountain safety i believe, at least thats what it is at breck

Yeap, just switching jackets. Can't do that at Key because we have those lovely grey pants with the orange. So if there is an "epic" pow day at Keystone we can't even switch out jacket in the morning for the first run down Go Devil. Bastards. Fuck you, Pat Cambell and Bobby Murphy.

why is it that the "slope watch" at keystone are usually suck pricks. or at least the one's i've encountered and the one specifically who took my bf pass last year.

but, bump for a good deal too.

if you're living in silverthorne though, stop by the cup in the corner (www.cupinthecorner.com). a NS owned coffee shop. If you have a loveland pass, I give 10% off.

sorry, to use your thread for my shameless plug.
