so im gonna use some of my christmas cash to buy a netbook. i just want a tiny ass computer i can take to class and take notes on and write papers on. then i can run just the adobe suite on my macbook, and have 2 efficient computers.

wheres my best deal on a netbook? i dont know much about them. i figgure the day after christmas sales will be pretty good in a shitty economy. like i said, its basically gonna be the internet and microsoft word, nothing else.

my threads... i too would like to know the best deal. if its cheap enough, then i might pick one up. So NS looking for a netbook right around $200...

wasnt the one that ran the ad on tv all the time around two hundo? i dont remember the brand or model, so im of no help at all, its some bitch who walks up to the guy with the netbook and shes like wtf is that and hes like its a netbook slut and then the company is like its small, buy one, and everyone is happy. the end.

i havent done much research but saw some good reviews about the one that was on Woot the other day- Acer Aspire One 10.1" Netbook. it was $230 then idk what it is regularly

i know you said all you want it for was internet and taking notes but i have to say even if that was all i wanted it for i would just get a regular computer. they're super slow, at least all the ones i have used are, and the screen is way to small and pretty useless. you can barely see what you're doing. if you really want one go for it but i wouldn't recommend it.

im typing this on

currently, my dad's lawfirm got a bunch of them for the lawyers to use on trips but since my dad doesnt like his(he has big hands, keyboard is pretty small) i get to use it when ever i want. been using it all day. streaming videos works fine on my network, HD takes a bit longer to load tho. typing is fine once you get use to it. and this one seems pretty fast. there is a good chance ill pick one this summer to use on trips and such

still lookin...cant decide if i should go for one of the tablets or not, they seem to get mixed reviews.

My sister has an HP mini, it's great. It hooks up wirelessly to every network it sees with no problems. It's fast, got 15 gigs of space. 1 gig of memory. Doesn't have microsoft office though, so if you want word, sorry. It's overall a nice comp. It's pretty fast. I think it's pretty good for what you're looking for.

for what its worth to anyone reading this thread, i think im gonna get the ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1005HA-PU17-BK

lol

we have an acer aspire for a baby computer and it works pretty well for emails, notes all that misc. crap
