Wanaka Help!

Hey Wanaka NSers. My girlfriend and I are going to be living in Wanaka this winter. We are from Canada and its our first year in NZ. We just arrived and are looking to get a place ASAP. If anyone on here is looking to fill a room of know anyone with a space to rent let us know!

Also if anyone knows of jobs in Wanaka we are one the hunt for one of those as well.

ALSO if anyone just wants to go ski once Cardrona opens (thats where we got passes for) that would be cool.
 
Haha did your girlfriend come into Soul Food and ask for a job today? Might have seen her come in. But yeah also just go round all the cafes/resturants and somewhere will have a job availability. Also look in the Wanaka messenger people sometimes advertise jobs there!
 
No she did not, are they hiring!? yea we've started hitting places up. seems like most jobs arnt starting for a little while. The messenger has been pretty helpfull we've been looking though that.

just keep trying, u are pretty early so you may have to go back to places to remind them who u are.

Go to places like lakeside apartments if u are presentable try get reception job or summat so free all day to ski.

If the jobs not all taken try get job workin for cardies in restaurant or summat.

If need lot of hours try porter job at edgewater

New world supermarket put up some adverts for room shares or put an ad in the messenger
 
Thanks for the advice all. Got a place now wre just on the job hunt. Anyone on here do any early season hiking? How early is there skiable shit by wanaka? I got a touring set up here if anyone's down to hike.
