wish you could quote more than one person.

G_1 - Bearsden has got a decent sized kicker, and an extra inrun so you can go bigger. and a few rails.
person i quoted - ski village is probably the worst dryslope i've seen.
and to whoever said braehead was better than cas.......epic fail.

Would be alot better if Braehead just built a snowstorm-sized kicker and some long rails.

Wallisch, possibly the best rail skier in the world, trying to hit the rails at bearsden...thats the fail

you know theres matt walker and mike clarke aswell, plus tom wallisch is pretty alright at jumps aswell. plus the man, the myth, the legend, neil, who organized this, works at bearsden.

so.... kinda makes sense.

its like Scott_c said though, if xscape built a snow storm sized kicker and got a few rails and boxes out its easily better than skiing bearsden. snow beats dryslope any day.

the kicker they built at the last snow storm and at the one in feb past.

plus, just cause neil works at bearsden shouldn't mean anything, if you're bringing a few of the worlds best freestyle skiers to the UK it would kinda make sense to take them to the best facilities in the UK - and like i said, skiing real snow beats skiing dryslope any day

sorry for the double post but at the end of the first bit it was meant to say "the kicker they built at the last snow storm and the one in feb past were just as big, if not bigger than the one at bearsden"

i was agreeing with you....just to clarify.

and ye i guess so about having a big xscape kicker, but i dont know, they're going to a few other snowdomes, so why not throw in a dryslope. atleast it'll be funny if they cant ski it.

cause we want them to have the best time over here skiing as possible. it would be kinda suck for everyone and the UK ski scene if they didn't wana come back after having a shit time on a dryslope. i duno, to me it just makes more sense to try and show off our best facilities rather than just taking them to the organiser's place of work. ( no offence to the organiser btw, i think this is the sickest thing ever!) but who knows, they might come over and have a great time messing around at bearsden. i just wana see them shred tbh.

freeze will be sick, the lineup will be stacked this year even more so than last.
understand why they'd be including the dry slopes in the tour but at the beginning of their season... slightly weird given the risk of injury landing badly on a hard slope... dontcha think?

You can't do a UK ski tour and not ride a dry slope, Glasgow is probably the best place to visit in Scotland as far as other interesting things go so I think Bearsden is undoubtedly the best Scottish stop they could choose, even if Aberdeen has a better jump or Braehead has snow. Maybe Cas would have been better than ChilFactore but i'm sure thare are reasons for that decision too

why couldn't you do a UK ski tour without going to a dryslope? i suppose its all about the experience of what we ski over here, but still - surely better to take them to braehead since it is the best ski facility in Scotland

That would be 5 stops then, I suppose 6 if you include Freeze. Not much of a tour if you ask me. I'm guessing Wallish, Clarke and Walker won't have skied much dryslope, so it will be great to see them slay it.

This is a UK tour if they wanted to ski the best facilitys they would do a tour of the Alpes or something. Its not better in my opinion for them to ski Braehead cos on a tour of the UK I would feel it is important to experience Dry slope, its a kind of UK thing and its where the roots of our freestyle scene are. Also i think that is the idea of just passing thru, its as much about the experience as it is the skiing and ths would be a new and interesting experience for the guys coming over.

This.

They could go to holland or whever to ski a indoor snowdome, but the roots of the UK ski scene is dryslope. that's where it all started back in the day, so it makes sense to do it. also the fact they wont have ridden a dryslope kicker, so its also an experience, not just for them, but for everyone else to see how they handle it, and what is actually possible on the kicker from the best in the word
coming to scotland and not skiing dryslope is like going to china and eating at mcdonalds.....

Anyway, who cares, it will be sick no matter what!!!!!!!!! lets get some stoke going on in this thread!!!!!

That is half the fun of though, that and the Buckfast (*insert being sick*). The banter that can be had with the locals (who are generally unintelligible).

Yes they should go to the best facilities true but for the real UK skiing scene and where it all started they have to hit up a dry slope (or at least snow-flex one). They should of done it later so that the couldn't of experienced the Cairngorms with snow but it has obviously been done to coincide with London Freeze.

Can't say much about the Bearsden slope having never been (home dry slope for me is Garthdee in Aberdeen (or Hillhead, Edinburgh but its nnot great for freestyle). Will certainly be interesting to see how they deal with dry slope, going to be funny if they fail.

Your right Bucky is ILLLLL! haaha.Garthdee is the best dryslope in Britain and it my local too but i still think its better that they stop at glasgow as it more of a cultural example of Scotland.
And to the dude who posted a pic of hills with snow on them, yeah, i am among the few that have skied Scottish pow too but how many Great UK skiers have come from skiing on our hills? Its not really the roots of the freestyle scene like dryslope.

was joking about the braehead park was just quoting what they said the park would be one nite when they couldnt be arsed building anything.CAS looks way sicker

Clarke is going to GTS. He is doing it for a schhool project too meaning he will be raiding the University of Colorado equipment vaults and checking out a bunch of BALLLLER equipment. Can't wait to see what they come up with!
