Walking Dead Season 3 Thread

Still not a good episode..but it saved itself with two badass zombie killing scenes

Last 6 minutes being great doesn't make up for a boring ass hour...too much drama. I don't need to see maggie and glenn bitching at each other like some tween twilight movie

for real. shit needs to pick up a little bit. a little too much teen drama in there. i want non-stopped action, lol. the ending was pretty sick though. I have a feeling things are going to start picking up from here. Tyrese has to come back sometime soon. there's no way they bailed on him already. and looks like there's about to be a war!!

I agree that it was real boring, but more action is not always the solution. If every episode of the show is simply action packed killing it would get old after 1 season. They need to do a better job at filling the gaps for when they aren't progressing the main plot of the show.

But real stoked for this war that is about to happen!

Definately a good episode. At this point if you guys are watching the show simply for zombie killing action, then I think youre missing the point. Yeah the action is awesome and they could probably squeeze a little more in there but they have to actually make it a tv show too, not just ruthless killing.

You gotta learn to appreciate or at least accept the drama, or else just go rent some zombie flick.

Someone mentioned it on the last page, but i miss when the Walking Dead was more about survival, and not all this drama shit. And I don't mean specifically surviving zombie hoards; i miss when the group was scavenging for food, water, shelter, and ammo throughout the first and half the second season. I understand that they need to settle down in one area in order to move the plot along but i liked it better when they were on the road.

You know what I miss? When they were trying to figure wtf is going on why did this happen... Like when they were trying to get to the CDC that made sense. Or when they tried to find that one military base hoping to get answers... But it seems the comic does not try to answer any of those questions so I doubt that ever happens.

Now the plot is simply stay alive... Instead of oh lets try and find answers to hopefully fix this problem for good. Like I agree staying alive is really interesting, bear grylls has a show just about that. But I feel like they need to add another theme to the plot.

I was very meh about that episode. Happy that ricks prob back to normal. It was funny when that short haired lesbo who had a crush on dayrl was starting to flirt with the guy from the jail and he got shot through the head as dayrl comes back

I wish a new character could could survive more than 5 episodes. I wasn't to happy when that prisoner guy got poped in the head, i want more people added to the group for good

I thought that fritos truck was going to be a bomb or something. I don't understand why they didn't break through into the third door though. you know where the people actually stay.

Cause they would have been shot up. I'm glad Daryl is back already, and like I said earlier, by the end of the season there is a 67% chance Glenn will die.

Maggie/ Lauren Cohen a super babe one of my favorite out at the moment

What was the reasoning for Merle's change in attitude when he saw the scars on Daryl's back? Definately enjoyed this episode, can't wait to see when they fight back

Daryl was talking to Merle about how he left him when they were younger and he had to deal with his father by himself. Im guessing he beat/whipped him and Daryl didnt get beat until Merle left. Merle said if he didnt leave he wouldve killed their dad

That makes much more sense, i guess I missed that they were talking about when they were kids, I thought they were talking about something that had happened in a previous season

its coming along but this insanity bit is ruining ricks character for me, and hes sorta (completely) the essence of the show so far. so he'd better get his head on straight or this will be hard to watch

the truck full of zombies was fucking pathetic on the gov's part, did he really think that would work? also, now their fences are fucked and no doubt that gun fight is going to attract walkers so there may be some homeland security issues there.

anyways, i hate to say it but i am starting to lose faith in this shit. the season started so strong but is getting lame.

I think that was part of the gov's plan..he knew the zombie bomb truck wouldn't kill everyone off, but it would cause enough chaos and noise that all the other zombies in the area would collapse on the prison through the newly broken fence and cause a problem

Obviously if the gov wanted to wipe out the prison he would have showed up with a few more men and mowed everyone down. I think this was more of a dick measuring contest showing rick he has the power to crush his group

anyone notice the person who ran out of the truck full of walkers all in black, with what looked like body armor and a hand gun. Was I seeing stuff or did the person disappear within the prison-wonder what that's about.

yeah it just seeems weird to me that he would give them another chance to retaliate seeing as how badly they fucked him over the first time they went to Woodbury. it would make more sense to kill them in one go to me.

and referring to the zombie van driver with the handgun: they shot at michonne a bit and then i assume ran out of the broken gates and went off with the gov but who knows. it would be really dope if it were andrea and she hid in the prison to rejoin the group later, but idk why the gov would trust her with that job and idk why andrea would actually shoot at michonne.

interdasting.

Agreed. I don't think that would make for an interesting rest of season 3 if everyone in the prison was killed tho haha

The person in the swat armor who drove the zombie bomb truck was definitely a chick and has to be andrea right? If it was just another person in the gov's group they would have showed their face. I'm guessing that was the gov's "test" for andrea to see if she had any real ties to rick's group

It couldnt have been andrea, at least not if she stayed in the prison because she was talking to the governor in the preview for the next episode

Actually one question.. This zombie "disease" is it only in america og is it worldwide? Because lets say one get the disease in america, how can it be transmitted to Europe? I know the "everyone is infected" but before when people died, they didnt turn..

The show isn't about the worldwide pandemic, it's kinda obvious that its worldwide because if something like this did happen you would expect other countries to be proactive and try and stop it before it spreads if it was just in America.

The show is only supposed to be a very micro view of the apocalypse, there isn't even much mention of whats going on outside of the ATL area

To your point, I think a lot of people are frustrated with the way the show is going. A lot of people like the whole cdc/find out whats going on aspect of the show in the earliest episodes but that's what happens when you change writers...now it's too focused on the human interaction soap-opera-drama aspect and feels like a zombie version of twilight..

not at all i think, the character development has been huge the end of last season early this season, a change of power and hierarchy is really great to watch, I hope Glen becomes HNIC.
