Walking Dead Season 3 Thread

You hear the gunshot...there's no way they'd show Carl shooting his mom, especially since she didn't "turn."

They didnt even try to do an operation. She just cut her open pulled the baby out and left her like that haha Im sure theres a chance someone could survive that if it was done slowly with some common sense.

I remember hearing that women can holda baby in for a lil after their contractions start/water breaks. Not sure if thats true but it did seem ridiculous that she just suddenly had to give birth. When her contractions started they should have had her laying in a bed in one of the cells like they would a normal operation room.

It's a mo fuckin' show with zombies that take over the mo fuckin' world. You want to know a flaw? How do people in tanks, or any armored vehicle, die.

Don't be that person who has to critique every detail about how it's not real enough. FUCKING ZOMBIES MAN. ZOMBIES.

you obviously didn't read The Zombie Survival Guide.

Tanks and shit suck. Little air flow and burn through gas like a bitch. Zombies can climb on that shit (or tip it over in the case of armored cars) and then you're done.

What would be epic would be if everyone found lori's body and she wasn't turned...she's like immune and now they know the baby is too. Then it would be mass panic to keep the baby alive to save the human race. Mind blown

This is not meant to be sarcastic, I just enjoy defending the show because I feel they have realistic ways in which people would die in a hypothetical zombie apocalypse.

1.) Let's start with the fact that the person cutting the baby out had no medical experience.

2.) There were no medical supplies or contraptions except for a knife. And they couldn't get to a cell with a bed because they were cutoff by zombies.

3.) The context of this birth was a zombie riot which they just narrowly escaped, and could have been overun at any moment seeing how Carl doesn't have unlimited ammunition.

4.) It was somewhat a race against time since a dead baby would have turned and probably killed her. (Stretching on this one, but I think it was definitely up there in reasons).

okay NO WAY lori was gonna survive that c-section, kinda dumb to say she had a chance. they had no means to get to a safe place to do the operation and they had no way of stitching that shit back up after. and they did the surgery with the most crude tools. if they had made her survive that, everyone would be hating way harder haha

we wanted her dead, remember? stop trying to find fault in this show its about WALKING DEAD PEOPLE. remember that when you go on about it being unrealistic. nobody goes on about dr. who being unrealistic. it just is, deal with it. this is directed at everyone.

bitch got cut open with crocodile dundee's knife. ain't no way she gonna survive that. and telling her to hold the baby in when she's prarie dogging because its not a convenient time to give birth? since when does lori care about what's convenient? get a grip.

That was the best Walking Dead episode guys.

I think that Rick's group is going to end up in the Governer's town...they need to bring the two together and it makes sense since they need a place to take care of the baby. And it would be great to see Rick vs. Governer.

One thing that bothers me is that if they have the virus already, then why do they turn when they get bit if its not a fatal wound? I think we're going to see a character get bit and not turn.

It would have been better if Rick went to Carl and was like "WHY DIDN'T YOU PROTECT HER"

Did it bother anyone else that in the first half of the episode they had T Dog come out as the moral guy who wants to let the prisoners join the group? Seemed out of character and clearly they were just trying to make his death more tragic.

I actually thought it reflected well what little character depth we have in t-dogg, because in season 1 even though merle was being an ass to him up on top of the building, it was t-dogg who in the end went back for him, but then dropped the key. I've always seen him as a morale one in the group but a little more modest about it and doesn't let those ideas cloud the judgement of a good decision that will benefit the whole group

The governor did not seem too happy that Merle wanted to head out to search for Daryl. I can see some shit going down between them if Rick's crew shows up. Something like...Rick and company shows up, shit gets real, Governor, Rick, and Daryl in some sort of a standoff/showdown with guns/crossbows pointed at each other, Merle has to choose to show his loyalty to the Governor or to save his brother and, ultimately, the man who abandoned him, forcing him to cut off his hand. I haven't read the comics and could be so far off it's ridiculous, but I think it would be interesting to see something like that go down. Alternatively, a Merle vs Daryl showdown where Daryl ends up killing Merle for threatening Rick.

Oh, and I still think there's something up with the tea that crazy scientist makes.

Dammit, I hope not. There are fucking rules to this shit, you start breaking established rules with set precedences and you lose me, its not interesting if rules just change willy nilly whenever the writers get stuck.

Walking dead needs to keep going. Fuck large towns, fuck main plot lines, just give me more zombies, running, suspense and post apocalyptic survival, I'll tell you when I'm sick of it, gonna be a while.

my reasoning is that when bit or scratched, the person is exposed to the virus again in saliva or whatever, and that extra dose is what kills them so quickly

this show is based around completely made up science though so who knows

I did the same thing - i've never even looked at a comic book in my life but found all the walking dead comics pdf'd on here from some kids link and flew through them in a couple days cause theyre that good

you wont be dissapointed

anyone else find themselves critiquing the governors golf swing? looked to me like he wasnt committing to a full turn through the swing and had an old man abbreviated take-away.

this crossed my mind this morning, as far as I remember the only child zombie we have seen was Sophia. I would think that we would see alot of kid and teen zombies. Just a thought running through my head.

very first zombie shown and killed on the show was a little girl....but yes, I see what you're saying.

I think hiring child actors is a bigger hassle. So the shots they do have of them need to be important.

Also, is the baby pure? Like when it came out, did it not have the disease? I don't know. ALSO:

I really wanted the baby to be dead. I fucking got so sick of lori and her bullshit i'm glad she's done. Although when rick fell down crying i felt bad. But oh well i don't care. She's a dumb bitch who nagged and was a dumb bitch. I wouldn't have saved the baby, would have let it die. For all we know that baby is going to die and be a hastle. and yeah.

Whaters

what? carl shot her in the head just like that prisoner that rick left to die with those zombies got eaten.. they didn't show it, there is no way to know ,YET. i could really care less either way, i just thought it was interesting that the little black guy showed up after everyone though he was eaten. so maybe lori could show up after she had be "shot in the head".

really? you honestly can say without a shadow of doubt that you would kill your own baby / your parents baby? i think it would be easier said than done. especially with the chance that the baby could be born immune. human emotion plays a huge roll in this show. too big a role IMO, but whatever.

me, yes i could kill my own baby/my parents baby. If it meant my mom/wife living, then yes. Fuck yes. Fuck that baby. It's going to the be the asians baby mainly, until rick comes around and is like "ohhh i want to be a father now"

well why would you make your wife/mom be pregnant for nine months then? i would try to kill the thing asap. before it could go insane and kill her from the inside anyways. coat hanger that shit

wait a sec. babies dont even have teeth or nails in the womb, do they? would a zombie baby even do much other than thrash around? itd still hurt but this alien-esque zombie baby ripping out of its mothers belly may not even be plausible. well obviously its not plausible, but even zombie-standard plausible. idk.

It's not even Ricks baby, it's Shane's.

This kinda crossed my mind, maybe Lorie didn't want to live with the guilt knowing its not Rick's baby, so instead of any effort to save her, she wanted herself dead like she has all along. Unless she already told Rick, ignore my stupid-ness.

hahaha great response

I also have an inkling the baby will be some type of cure, or be zombie-disease free, as a sort of beacon of light for the future of man kind

or it could have its body ripped in two next week by some walker...what the fuck do I know?
