Wake skiing

Does anyone do it? I want to get into it this summer but am worried it will ruin the way i ski normaly because you waterki on your heels. Any other info on wakeskiing would be great. Like where can i get decent wake skis with boots for 300$. +k for advise

wakeskiing doesn't look terribly fun to me... as the skis right now are terribly bulky and obtrusive *might change in the future though*.. I would recommend wakeskating as a cheap way to have fun on the water... especially since it doesnt require any type of large boat to have fun... jet ski/jon boats are perfect for wakeskating, as there is alot more tricks you can throw in the flats, i/o, and even just sliding the lip wabahhh wa bahhbahh

I know I didn't answer your question.. just trying to help lol... also, you can get a decent used wakeskate for ~100 bucks if you look hard enough

he said wakeSKIING doesnt look fun try wakeSKATING, but im gonna get a pair of wakeskis just because it looks really fun

i really want to try it. if only i could afford a pair of skis...

ill just stick to wakeboarding for now

I might be. But that is irrelevant lol.. point is, I was saying wakeskiing doesn't look like my cup of tea, but I would reccomend wakeskating, especially if you're on a budget.

wake skiing looks fun, but it seems like you cant air off the wake like you can on a wakeboard, at least nowhere near as well. the biggest spin i can remember seeing on wakeskis was a 540 =/

Just got a pair. They look bulky but they dont really feel like it. You dont need a tow bridge but it makes everything so much easier to do stuff. I say get a pair and have fun with them.

Are you talking about the wake skis that are like The Blades of water skiing, or the wake skis like Stereo? The Blades look fun, and you can get a pair for like 100-150$, it's looks a lot better for just messing around behind a boat, the Stereo skis look like they're made more for cable parks than getting towed, and they're like 300$+ like you said... I'm thinking about getting a pair of the Blades myself...

ye i would be on the back of a boat with no tower. If i can find a pair of HO skis or stereo skis with boots for under 300 i will get those if not ill just get some blades. Thanks for the advise

Wakeskiing is fun but I still like wakeboarding/skating better. It really hurts when your legs separate on the skis especially when youre trying spin tricks. If you have bad knees I wouldnt suggest it.

yes you can. wake is all about technique and edging not the tower, sure the tower helps, but you can still boost and learn a ton of stuff without one. and to everyone suggesting wakeskating, i totally aes

i just started wakeskiing like 2 months ago. ive pregressed pretty fast for the amount ive gone ( about 10 times actually wakeskiing) i can jump the wake, just screw around carving and do 180s so far. it was pretty hard at first with ballance because you dont have much tail and flip backwards. after you get ballance down it gets pretty easy. i have HO wakeskis if anyones wondering
