VX2000, anybody have clips?

personally i think that cameras should be bought new, or at least from a shop where you can play around with them first, to get to know it better...i've just started thinking this after my whatever ebay thread, but yup

well the reason i ask is because if you have a higher budget you should go for something better cause im not very pleased with its image to be honest

quick questions for vx2k owners.

1. is the CP button on the back of thew handle like the vx2100

2. is the viewfinder accurate to what you see on a tv or computer screen? and how do you calibrate it so it is accurate?

3. How much did you pay for your vx?

1.) Yes

2.) The viewfinder comes from the factory properly calibrated. If it doesn't look the same way on your TV or computer that it looked on your VF, you need to calibrate those items.

3.) I don't have one (I've got a VX21), but expect to pay around $1,500 for one on eBay.

How other people's footage looks should be the one of your lowest concerns. Knowing the reputation of the VX series, you should be more concerned about being able to fully use the camera and being able to correctly set all the settings on the camera. If you can correctly set all those variables, you can get whatever look you want in a post production program using color correction and adjust various aspects of the picture.

if you want it to be sharp you can set it up that way, if you want it to be softer you can set it up that way too, i have the sharpness all the way down on mine under cp, and i do a little more in post, and it looks awesome.
