Freeskier is throwing a competition for Photographers with a potential to make 5K. Not only is this photo that chip took of Jaron Stadler an amazing photo, but anyone who lives in colorado knows Chip Proulx is one of the hardest working photographers out there and is just finally getting places in some snowboard mags. Lets help him break his way further into ski ones since he's constantly hooking people up with content to throw up!

Kinda lame to use NS to sway a vote that so many other NSers are a part of. Especially because chip is already a big name and now he's being promoted by the lafa account. Makes it a bit of a popularity contest, which sucks.

Chip is not a big name, he's starting to break out because he has amazing photos. All these competitions become a popularity contest, but take a look at his photos and you will see he does an amazing job you can choose to vote or not. Feel like NS should know this competition is going on and help a guy who really deserves it win.
 
^ I agree with a lot of this.

Chip isn't a known name for media yet, he's been killing it though. Like LaFa said, all of these contests turn into popularity contests. You don't have a chance unless you have the right following and know the people who're down to help you win. Usually the people who win vote contests are mediocre but they've just got the right means to blast their content for votes. I think Chip deserves it and that shot is dope.

Not to mention, the contest has multiple judged portions so other photographers (if they're actually good) have a better chance to win that way. The voting contest is only a bit of the whole.
