Hey whats up guys. I was in my ski shop the other day and prob gonna get some Walls. I noticed it said "true center" and something else on the ski for mounting points. Do they mean "true Center" as in equal length at tip and tail? theres prob something about this in another thread but cant find it. OO and while im at it. Im about 6'1" 170lbs, 177 or 185? Thoughts pleasee. and sorry for another one of these threads.

Im 6'1" and just got the 177s, but it depends on how you like your skis. I got them mounted at the set of words closest to the top.

I figured the only place to mount was centre.

Like was said, depends on how you like your skis. I'm 5'9, and have 176 Ar6's, but I'm dropping down to some 171/173 watchlifes for next season.

why are you droppin down? curious..and nah thers another spot but w/e. do you know if it true center as in equal tips and tails? or the core center whatever it is

actually , the 185;s didnt seem that much bigger. I would think that center mounting 177's there wouldnt be much a ski, to well, ski. but centering the 185's it gives you more tip n tail i guess idk

I just want a shorter ski. A 171 will provide the same stabability, but less swingweight and lighter.

shit ur getting new skis? didn;t u just get the 176 ar6's in the middle of last season?! But anyways, id go 185 if i were u, becuase when u center mount them it will fit just perfect, 177 for u would be too short, and when u centrermount them, there wont be much ski

just becasue u ski in thr east and there is no powder does not meen u want short skis. i have 176's, and they are a bit taller than me, and i ski 100% in the east, and in the park. ALL prefference

yeah, id get the 185's, i was checking out the walls in the shop i work at today, if my t-halls dont hold up this season, i may go with them, or a pair of this years t-halls. Lemme know how u like the walls, when u ski them. ill probs see u at creek anyway

true centre is prob "true centre" on it cause its a symmetrical ski (like the line invader) and go 185 if u mount true centre

They're labeled "True Centre" and "Boot Centre," with Boot Centre being about ~3-5cm back from True Centre. The ski is symmetrical, so I don't know why you'd mount it any other way except at True Center.

Agh, all these threads about walls are making me so anxious to get a pair! I really want to get some after this season, after my invaders blow up. Medium flex, fully symmetrical, a dream. I'm in the same situation being almost 6' 2'' and if I am to get a pair I would probably go with the 185 since I'm obviously center mounting them. They seem like that would have good edge control also out of the park because they aren't complete noodles.

im thinking about ordering a pair within the next week or two...im 5'10 and i ski 90% in the east...do you think id be better off with 169s or 177s?

ya i have the 177's and there at true center. true center means like "true center" so its equal on both sides. there rly light too... when i had last years pipe cleaners i wuz only able to get a 1200 around but first hit with the walls and i just banged out a 1440 kangaroo flip. chea. lol TYLER!!!!!

Has anyone mounted their Walls one "forwards" one "backwards," I know some kids used to do that with Invaders and perhaps with the Addicts but the graphic is a little weird on the Wall, I don't know what it'd end up looking like.

Yeah after looking at some pics I think I'm going to mount mine straight up. Anyway I'm 5'11 and I ordered the 177's. It's a step up from the 160 something Scratchs I was on, but it'll be interesting to see how it will feel with the center mount. I'm also pure east coast and this is going to be my pure park ski so I didn't think I wanted them too long, but I'm going to take another look at the 185 on Saturday.
