Volkl ski sizing??

Rumour has it that the volkl wall 185 aint really a 185 and they actually measure up smaller. Does anyone know how it compares to the armada 181s, salomon 181 or the atomic 180?? + + karma for responses.

from what i understood from your post youre talking about effective edge?
a ski has tips/tails on it. the tips and tails do not actually touch the snow but effect the overall length of the ski (the running length)
the part of the ski that touches the snow (the effective edge length) will in turn be shorter than the running length.
i dont know about sizing with walls but yes, if they make a 185 wall the effective edge will be shorter.

i guess ill elaborate...
its like that with all skis though so you cant directly compare the EFFECTIVE edge length of a salomon 180cm ski to a volkl 180cm ski.

Take 2 or 3 off for Volkl compared to most other brands. K2 is the opposite.

tip and tail dont count its the contact on snow..............i think.

i got 161 karmas and they were one centameter taller then my 160's when i compared them so as far as i know they're good

i hav thats true but there different companies and the make it seem smaller but u could always test it out if u really wanted to know

My 177 walls measure 173.5 cm. tip to tail. 171 armadas measure ahair over 171.
