Volkl Shiro or Gotama?

Looking for a pow ski, mostly for the Alps but also Whistler. Got good deals on Volkls. Shiros or Gotamas?

Blister have produced reviews on the shiro, I'd definitely take a look at their reviews -below. There's also quality discussion about the Gotama on TGR, so I'd go consult that too.

Shiro's

Gotama's are super fun but they're a little more all mountain. Shiro's straight rip in powder

Yep, Shiros are a pow ski, whilst the Goats are much more all mountain oriented but still handle well in pow. At least this is what I gathered from my research into the Gotama when I considered buying a pair. If you're looking for one ski to do it all I probably say the Goats may be your ticket, considering you'll be skiing in Europe too.

Gotamas rip everything, but not super floaty in the deep stuff. Shiro's destroy the deep stuff, but can be more to handle in variable snow. Personally I enjoy a fatter ski for all mountain so I would go with the Shiro's. But if you are looking for an easier everyday ride that is still pretty adequate for deep snow, go with the Gotamas.

Thanks guys, think I'll go with the Shiros. My Volkl Kinks can handle the groomers, Shiros for the deep. +K for all of you.

Good call if you've already got a ski to use for hard snow a pow ski would be a nice addition to the quiver
