Volkl Ledge vs ON3P Filthy Rich

I'm new to ns, so please ignore me getting used to the site. Anyway, next year I'm gonna need a new pair of skis, and I can't decide between these two. I ride almost 100% park, as I live in Ohio and the slopes outside the park aren't great. I am currently 5'7" and 125lbs. I am still growing though, and if I had to make a guess at my height/weight for next year I'd say around 5'10" 140ish. From what I've gathered about these skis, they are both super playful and soft park skis, but still hold their ground on landings and through cruddy snow. Right now I think I'm leaning a little more towards the FR (seen a few people with them and they look so damn fun). Anyway, thanks for any suggestions.

btw if you need any other info just let me know, thanks

I wouldn't say flithy rich is soft. It sure is playful due the rocker but the flex is medium/stiff

really? do you think at my weight/height I would have a problem with the flex? thanks for the reply btw

Well first off..on3p isnt making the FR next year, Magnus Graner's pro model is replacing it, and it seems like thats exactly what youre looking for.

On3p's are sorta stiff but their rocker helps you get into butters and play around with them.

thanks for the info, I didn't know that. do you know if the pro model is gonna cost any more than the FR's do?

btw that PC edit is dope

I'd imagine it would be pretty similar if not the same

Haha thanks G, and like foreveryung said it shouldnt be any more expensive than the fr's. Its just taking the fr's place in the line up its not like its an exclusive limited ski

I had 2013 Ledges for about a season and a half when I first started park skiing and they were sick but the edges cracked and separated which is why I had to stop using them. I know ON3P makes their skis with thicker bases and edges (Unless volkl started to since 2013) but I don't exactly know much about their flew patterns. If the ledges had thicker edges I'd be using them/buying them every year because they are the most fun ski I've ever used.

I just read about the Magnus, and I love everything about it except that they took away the symmetrical tip/tail. How much does that really matter? Also can you still mount them dead center? Sorry if these seem like dumb questions, I don't know much about mounting

Read this thread, bwalmer provides a lot of information about the skis, why they were replaced and what to expect with the non symmetrical change.

Im most definitely picking up a pair of magnuses next year, they look like a really, reallly fun ski.

Thanks for the link. Now that I've read about why most pros are switching to asymmetrical it makes sense. You don't ski the same forward as you do switch, so why should the skis ski the same way forward as switch?

Only concern is center. Do you know if these will still be recommended by ON3P to be mounted at true center?

btw man thanks for all the help, means a lot. +k

Have you noticed any major wear/how long have you been riding them?

Riden them for give or take about 10 days 1 edge crack, topsheet very small chipping, edges arent huge but big enough to take impacts, Super playful poppy and light.

No problem. Thanks for all the help man, definitely changed my mind on which skis to get!

I rode Volkl Ledges this year, and they were really fun and durable. I went through two pairs of bindings and the skis held true. Edges and laminate are still perfect. Was very tough on them and still look/ ride like new. Will most likely getting another pair of volkls next year
