Has anyone ever mounted your bindings "duck stance"? On my Volkl Sanook 193's there are guides underfoot for mounting bindings at 0, 3, 6, 9, and 12 degrees.
i should probably try slight duck stance. when i ski and im trying to keep my skis parallel, my skis start to go into a pizza automatically, like just the direction of my ankles, not on purpose
Black Diamond, and I think Nordica are doing this with their boots. The toe and heel pieces are straight, to match the direction of your skis, but the actual "boot" shell is slightly ducked
i feel like when i ski straight both my inner edges are diggin and my outer edges are a little bit raised? it might be an illusion but is there a solution for this?
that's like knock-kneed, not duck footed. i believe the only fix is the cuff adjustment on your boot (if you have one) which is sometimes called canting (but canting is actually something different)
yeah Nordica call it the Natural foot stance, but it reduced some of the performance and fit so they decided to get rid of itthis season i think? I used to have some brilliant old sportmachine 10's that had it.
This tends to cause other alignment issues... Nordica is getting rid of it from the vast majority of their boots for 10/11and will be completely phased out soon after.
Thats weird they would phase it out, I actually kinda like it. But I could be the only one on the planet. I demoed BDs Seeker and Push boots, and it made no noticable difference in my skiing ability, but it made it more comfortable.
