So I'm looking for a new ski for this winter (something that ISN'T a park noodle) and have decided that the chopsticks are pretty cool. I love the fact that they're rockered and that they're symmetrical (I want to center mount them), and I've read that they're very stiff (which is dope because I charge the shit out of my skis). The only unsettling part is that I've read some less than flattering reviews around the internet. I thought about going line, but the EP pros are a little too big for my liking, and I don't want the bacons because they aren't rockered. I am also considering the donner parties or even the bibbys (it just might be hard to get my hands on a pair). Does anyone have a LEGIT take on the volkls that they could pass on to me? I'm about 6 foot (maybe a touch shorter than that), weigh 175, and want to ride these kindof all over the place, but especially in the steeps and deeper snow (DUH). Thanks.

not many people on here are going to be able to comment but try tetongravity.com. they should be able to give u a decent response.

i know ryanwar6 has ridden them on here though so i would PM him if i were u. good luck.

yea they are the stiffest pow skis out there and there symetrical design makes me think that they would charge forwards and switch

that bad review came mostly because they were so stiff, but if you like that they will probabley be fine bro

Read my sig for review. I honestly didn't dislike them because they were stiff, I expected them to be stiff, it was because they were a shitty feeling ski. They were very unenergetic, cumbersome, and heavy as balls... well, heavy balls.

I would maybe try out the JJ's from next year (also in sig), the obsethed, or if you find them to your liking mabye some of the skis you talked about. I just have no experience on them, so I cannot give a reveiw. If you ahve any questions pm me.

I just got my chopstix today... they are stiff under foot, but not dead boards... and the weight doesn't seem ungodly. i have scott p4s and they are lighter... but yeah, not an ep pro for sure. I'm thinking i'm going to like this ski for going stupidly large in the back country, but it won't be as fun inbounds. time will tell. I'll probly ski them in the next week or two at glacier.
