Volant Spatula (186 cm) The reverse camber & reverse sidecut ski designed my S. McConkey and built by Volant. They were only made one year. Mounted at Alta's Peruvian Lodge, which has mounted almost 2/3's of all Spatulas produced (aka great mounting job). The bases are burnt from lack of waxing and humidity, but nothing a hot wax couldn't buff out. The ski is absolutely awesome in powder, and started the "cult following," which almost all ski companies have followed in some form or another. Been skied maybe ten days (not a single dent/ding/core shot/etc). Mounted for mondo 27.5 (318 mm) but binding has few centimeters play back/forth Feel free to email any questions...Skis located in Salt Lake City, UT for the next 7 days- then who knows where I'll be.
