Voelkl Chopstick vs Atomic Thug

This isn't a like-for-like comparison. Chopstick vs. Bentchetler would be most similar.

Chopsticks are rockered and designed to be mounted near centre. Thugs have regular camber and can be mounted either near the centre or further back.

If your approach to riding backcountry is more traditional- i.e. mostly forwards, more aggressive, get thugs. if you're more into switch pow, buttering etc, get chopsticks. Although thugs can do that stuff too.

As with 95% of these threads, try to give a lot more information on what type of skiing you like, how you ski, how big you are etc. You can't expect a good recommendation without that.

Oh, and post it in the right forum too.

First thanks a lot for the information. Then I don't quit get yet the rules off the newschoolers forum page, sorry for posting the worng place. I try to get use to it.

I'm 175cm and 80kg. I would ski the most time backcountry, both ways, buttering, take dropps etc.

get the chopsticks... 3rd pair of rockered skis that ive owned (other two are ep pros and a prototype bluehouse maven thats stiffer than a 2x4) and they are by far my favorite... super light, super poppy, skis great at center

thugs are a ton of fun, but theyre a more traditional chowdah ski compared to the chopstick.
bentchetlers, HOWEVERRRRR, are quite possibly the best powder ski ever created, and believe it or not, they can rip groomers a new one.
and...they have the best graphics since vision skateboards.

But which size of chopsticks i should get? 175 or 185?

Correct me if I'm wrong but the bent chetlers have only one size right (183)?!

In switzerland we don't know much about the 2010 gear!!

how many of u have skied the chopsticks? they're awesome!!! better than hellbents in my eyes but i hear the bentchetlers are sick too...

What are the pro's for chopsticks to you?I might get them next season thru a deal, if i cant get the deal im considering other wide rockered ski's too.
Can annyone list Pro's Vs Cons for Helbents and Chopsticks and maybe some other rockered fat ski's?
