Vishnus aren’t that durable, they probably won’t last 2 seasons

If you take care of them you can easily get 2-3 seasons out of a pair. From my understanding you don’t take care of your skis that’s why your daddy buys you a new couple pairs every season

I buy all my own shit and unlike you I actually ski hard and do real tricks, which is why my skis don’t last

do you think I should full detune to try and prevent very serious edge cracks?

U should be detuning ur skis no matter what so u don’t die on rails tbh but yeah It should help u not get edge cracks

about to end my second season on wet pluses. IMO they’ve held up like a dream. Top sheet still looks immaculate but I’ve lost a bunch of edge underfoot. That’s just going to happen tho. Also it didn’t happen until like the last two weeks of this season.

Yes. If they’re a park ski, I have switched to setting a base bevel (I can’t remember if i did 2 or 1.5 degree) and then detuning and polishing underfoot.

What is polishing underfoot

I guess the ppl that ride them really fuckin beat on them, and don’t take care of any maintenance. They’re just negligent. Mine are on their second season rn and still look great, tops and bottoms. Any minor damage I see, I address right away. I’ll easily get another 2/3 seasons on them.

You have to do it right, mine were detuned very poorly and cracked that day, after being ok from a couple light park days with sharp ish edges

yes, but you HAVE to take care of them. I know someone with wides that got 10 edge cracks so far this year with a core shot and a smoked edge on the nose. If you don’t use a gummy stone or properly detune them there is a chance they can get fucked up. Emmett has great advice that he sends you with every pair tho

Yes. Emmet went live once saying full detune the entire edge, and then took a massive bastard file from tip to tail like 8 times.

Very. I bought a 4 year old pair last year and they are still running (I sold them but homie has been beating the shit outta them and they r still good) and hopefully plan to have my plusses forever
