Virus from Tramdock?

That seems a bit strange, Its quite the legit site.
Even their adds just link to other backcountry sites?
Don't know what to tell ya.

I know, right?

I'm in CO, and my PC is in FL. My dad brought the CPU into to see what was up with it, and the guy said he tracked the virus back to Tramdock. I told my dad that Tramdock and Backcountry were legit sites.

hmm that dosnt seam likely, but who knows... you should shoot an email to those guys so if it from them they can resolve the issue

Your dad brought the CPU in to see what was up with it...

So your dad, took your PC apart, unclipped or unscrewed the heatsink

from the cpu. Unfastened the cpu from the motherboard. Took the CPU in

to a pc shop cause IM guessing your computer was screwing around.

You have no idea what the fuck you're talking about. So assuming your

dad brought the whole pc in and not one component which isn't affected

by viruses...

What the guy probably found out was just a tracking cookie, which is

harmless. Otherwise, I'd be very surprised to see how he managed to

track a virus back to a site. So short story is: wtfbubbles.

K smartass. Shut the fuck up. If you not going to help, dont post.

I work at Best Buy and people call towers- CPU, Hard Drives, Boxes... you knew what she was talking about. Dont be a smart ass.

I have no idea how you could have gotten a virus form that site, if you didnt download anything. It could be a cookie of some sort.

That I actually explained her what the guy found from the tramdock site, whereas you go all "I WORK AT BEST BUY" and then go "i have no idea."

i downloaded the tramdock warning bar too, but i haven't gotten a virus yet.

i got the ns virus though and that seriously fucked with my computer.

Technically, but you can also get viruses from activex scripts (which dependening on your browser security settings may be set to auto-run), and you get "tracking cookies" from pop-ups usually. These tracking cookies don't affect the overall performance of your pc, they just track what you do. This sometimes includes banking details.

The hater posted that it was probably a tracking cookie from Tramdock in between his bits of rabble. You said something along the lines of this was a pointless hate post, but then reiterated what the hater said. Nawmean?
