I have medium pants and I need suspenders or they don't stay up. I don't look Hella thug but they are more baggy than saga fatigues, less baggy than anomie (I have both). I'm 5'6 15ish and wear a 31 waist or so. If I had a bigger waist I could go for large and have them be Hella fucking baggy, like they would be down to my knees. So xl will give you a fit in between the anomie and saga fatigue, XXL will give you a fit like anomie or even baggier.

I've got them in XL. Im a huge fan of the baggy look and honestly I don't think I've found better fitting pants.
I'm 6'0 about 170 and they're the perfect fit. Baggy as fuck but still fall nicely and don't look like parachute pants.
Only downside is they feel a little constricting when you lowride them, I think it's because of the nature of the material (thick and burly as fuck) and the bib. Plus my last pants were XXL North Face lifty pants, so maybe I'm just not used to em.
All in all, I'd say the XL is probably as close to an ideal fit as you would get. If you're looking for Harlaut-size I'd say you could probably find baggier. If you're just looking for a dope baggy park fit (Steve Stepp, Matt Walker, T-Wall) that size will be perfect.
On top of that the pants are the highest quality I have owned. With 25k/25k, ridiculously reinforced cuffs and a removable bib, you really can't go wrong.
