So I was in my basement, searching for shit to sell in hopes of possibly acquiring enough funds to purchase a glidecam, when I found this!

I believe its a Tachihara 4x5" Large format camera, It has the words "Calumet Wood-field" on the bottom, and that's really all I know about this bad boy. But apparently these go for $100-$1000, and I was wondering If anybody really knew what this particular one was worth, Also where should I try selling this?

paging Aenigma..

he shoots exclusively 4x5 i believe

I'm starting 4x5 next semester and I couldn't be more excited!

why would you sell something the

1. doesn't belong to you

2. is a piece of camera history

3. probably was owned by a now passed on relative?

seriously, the fact that you are even considering selling it makes me sick, keep it, think about showing your grandkids that in 60 years

1. It was my mom's, she doesn't care for it, and said I could sell it.3. when my mom's dead I wont remember her by this camera.

2. I can't properly admire it.

I don't understand how you got so worked up over this, And I'm never having kids.

Why would you reply to somebody's thread like this?

1. doesn't belong to you

2. Not everyone shares your passion for anything and everything camera related

Seriously, the fact you posted makes me sick. take the dick out of your ass, keep it, and think about showing your grandkids in 60 years.

If I found that I'd keep it and learn to use it.
But since you want to sell it I'd consider eBay, or specialty camera forums. You probably won't get a lot of interest on NS or similar, and I bet a local camera shop would rip you off.

No I don't it just looks like a badass box thats called a camera. Because 4x5 obviously refers to the dimensions of the wood used to build it and not the film size.

Dumbass.

ahh, fucking beautiful camera. id be stoked. Good find, i've always wanted to own a large format.

Hi,

Are you still selling this camera? I am in Toronto. I would like to have one like this. If you still have it please contact stanmsho@yahoo.ca

It's quite funny how someone made a profile simply to buy the camera. I think he will pay mad dollar.. or I better hope so!

He probably would have tossed mad money, but instead I sold it for cheap to a photography student.
