Vinny Cash and B-Dog top style

I remember seeing this back in like january or something, instantly became one of my all-time favorite edits. The blend of song choice, graphics, filming, editing, and of course that trademark Vinny+B-Dog sty that can't be found anywhere else on earth.

this edit invalidates the argument that "gopros suck"

Gopros are so small, convenient, and versatile that you can just lap with friends and stack an unbelievable amount of shots. you don't have to worry about lenses, exposure, setting up the mic, balancing your stabilizer, etc. Gopros help the common skier who doesn't want to invest in a real camera to still get the shot and put out great content.

sure, the sensor is small and the quality isn't on par with real cameras but that will change in the coming years. the quality had been getting much better over the years and they have the potential to make a camera with cinematic quality. Small cameras are already being made that have unbelievable video quality. Imagine a gopro with the specs of this thing but with higher framerate options. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/cinemacameras/techspecs/W-CIN-09

sorry for traveling a few miles down a tangent... the tricks in this edit blow my mind, it's even better that it's so casual too, just two friends lapping a park.

About the BMD camera, if you read solid review about it, it requires a lot of investment etc. and time to make the shots "cinematic" like.

GoPro will def improve and get awesome quality eventually, but it will never catch up to pro camera quality..

It's like people saying that Smartphone cameras will catch up with DSLRs, nope won't happen.

However, GoPro's are amazing and this just proves it :D (so yeah I agree with everything you said, but the truth is still that GoPro (that small) will never become as good as pro cameras, the sensor size difference makes all the difference. (and good glass) :P)

You'd have to be a complete cunt of a skier to think that are a go pro edit is no less skilled than an edit shot on a proper set up. It's still the exact same principal of getting the shot.

Filming on a real camera is harder than on a gopro. Editing is the same, a talented editor can make anything look sick. With a real camera you have a ridiculous amount of options with shot composition with lenses and such. You don't have that with a gopro. It's wide angle or "narrow" field of view. Sure, getting the shot is getting the shot but there are so many ways to do it with a real camera and the technical aspects of operating it are harder than pressing two buttons. I'm not a cunt, I just have experience making edits with both gopros and dlsrs.

Yeah I feel ya dude. But I feel like the whole composition, etc is an elitest attitude. Like look I know all about exposure and shit. I'm better than you. Much like people being an eltiest about when park rats can't carve like a racer.

Gopros are already pretty unbelievable, the quality per se is very very good. What it needs, is the ability to adjust aperture and focal point. This would take it to the next level - especially with people that know what they're doing.

I'm talking about how customizable filming with a camera with interchangeable lenses is. Composition isn't the perfect word for that. Gopro's can't get telephoto shots or the standard 18mm look. Damn this has gotten way off topic haha

Oh yeah, anyone with a choice would take a DLSR over a Gopro, but yeah back to Vinny and B-dog. Damn holy fuck my boner

I honestly wish Vinny Cash would get more exposure. He's f*** destroying it and he has such an original style, with all the insane grabs and unique tricks. It would be nice to see longer edits and movie parts with Vinny Cash in them..

Also it would probably help to wake up competition judges.. brah brah
