So recently Vimeo changed the way their videos load and i think it really blows. I can no longer shuttle to a point in the video without the whole thing reloading. This would not be as big of a deal if my internet connection was not so poor. I was wondering what the thought behind the change was and if there is any way to revert back to the old style of loading videos.

P.S. I searched around in the Vimeo FAQ's and Forums but didn't find much.

Vimeo has been pissing me off lately. I have been having problems ever since they made that big switch to the new vimeo, and i hate it

I absolutely hate this especially if your watching a longer edit in HD waiting in upwards of like 5 minutes to watch the video play smoothly. Its been really annoying me lately...

Oh! I thought it was somehting with my internet connection or whatever.

Anyway, I think it is because you couldn't skip to a part that hadn't loaded yet on Vimeo, now you can. They probably figured because everyone has fast internet anyway nowadays, that would be the better solution. I disagree though...

I actually just switched my vimeo settings to play in HTML5 Player as opposed to having it in Flash Player and I can skip ahead and it play smoothly without being fully loaded... So maybe try that guys and see if it works for yourselves.

yeah its super annoying, especially after you wait for a longer video to load then want to see one second back and the whole thing gets fucked

I have yet to suffer any of these problems, I get the same problem with trying to skip ahead in videos too but it just loads and works... Get better internet? lol

lol wut? they have cable internet there, which offers up to 15-20 mbps as a normal speed?

my internet is 1.5mbps so stfu.

but on the other hand, i have the lost buffer issue as well. in the FAQ's they said they were currently resolving it.
