Viewing WMV Clips in FireFox

I'm using FireFox, and haven't found a way to watch the clips on NS that are WMV without having to download them seperately and open them from the HD, which takes a lot of time and effort.

So, FireFox users, have you found a way to open the WMV clips uploaded to NS without the browser crashing or having to DL them seperately?

it's because the server NS is on lists them as text files. I looked into it awhile ago with bugzilla on teh mozzila dev. team, and that's what they said was wrong.

I'm looking into this, soirry, i have a ton of shit to do. ;)

I do want to fix this though, I use firefox.

havent u eva read the msg at the top of the vid page saying to download them and not just veiw them once through ur web browser, is dat shit still in place

So apparantly we don't need to download the videos before viewing and we can stream them now?

hmmm i just tried viewing death to scooter on firefox, I'm pretty sure thats a wmv file and all i got was pages of crap. Is there just something wrong with my comp or that particular vid?

yeah but us with dial up(not for much longer tho, finally getting unlimited broadband 2morrow) its notgood downloading in quicktime format coz that format is generally used for uncompressed video, while wmv and mpg gives you a smaller file but still and allright quality, so for dial up quicktime is not a good choice

 
Freezy, I use FireFox because it had so many more useful features than IE. Not to rebel against Microsoft. What am I going to do? Ask all the users on NS to post only in Quicktime, I have no choice to view files already uploaded to the site that are in WMV format. But, you're right, Quicktime is better.
