Video not found or access denied

Anybody else having this problem (screenshot below). 5/7 of my videos uploaded via NS have this problem and all 5 of my vids embedded from somewhere else are working fine.

Sorry if repost, my internet is slow as hell and I'm having a tough time searchbarring.

i was about to make a thread on this , like 7 out of my 11 videos dont work anymore ... i dont wanna lose them !
 
OK update from the hardwars team is things will take a little while still to get everything back to normal with some new hardware and copying a rediculous amount of data. Nothing was lost, its just not 100% available because of the backup servers working overtime to keep serving content.

Sorry for the hassle everyone, its being worked out as fast as possible!

 
Pictures aren't loading.

If i go to someones profile, go to their pictures and click on it. I just get a little green image. Like the triangle circle sqaure thing.

Anyone else?
 
yeah sorry guys. As Chris eluded - the hardware issue was a doozy. So its going to take some time to repair and copy out of the backups. Nothing serious, just might notice a bug or two for a few more days.
 
glad to hear there's no data loss :)cause i don't have copies of some stuff i uploaded on here ....
 
Everything is massively backed up against failure, so there is essentially zero chance (maybe nuclear war would fuck that up) that we'll actually lose everything.

However, this had to go down a few steps of redundancy so its just taking some time to restore.
 
A massive EMP perhaps? Or if aliens attack with giant magnets or some shit?

Probably zombie proof at least!
 
EMP is a good call, that would do the trick.

Aliens not a chance though, each NS server has a spork built into the frame. Definitely alien proof.
 
We've been told everything is set up, now the system is just working on reindex of 46 Terabytes of data. Takes some time.

Its funny, didn't realize how much people actually looked at their old content, very interesting
 
I think it's actually one of the best things about NS. I always check an NSer's photos to get a better sense of who they are and how they've evolved on the site over the years.

Right now, many of the old great threads are kind of depressing, because most of the pictures can't be viewed. Glad it is going to be fixed.
 
this. And I always occasionally go back and look at my/or my friend's old edit's cause its fun to see how much we've progressed. So far the issue still stands with the majority of my and my friend's content though. I know it's only a matter of time so I guess I'll just have to be patient.
