video editing

I just got my digi cam today and was hoping someone could tell me anything I need for video editinn? I have adobe premiere but do I need a special card for my computer? wahat wires do I need and shit casue Im clueless about this

 
hey, you need a firewire port/cords for your comp, or some kind of DV cap card

I've heard that Adobe Photoshop or Adobe premiere or something like that is a good editing program. Lol talk to freestyla_01.

As they mentioned before, you need some sort of import. You can take it from the camera to the computer with either USB or Firewire (IEE 1394) ports. Install the drivers for your cameras capturing and then open Adobe Premiere and start editing. You may want to invest in a dual monitor setup, it's so easy to edit with that!

Just do what I do, buy two flat panels ;-) Then be broke!

or get an a/v monitor for 10 buxs at a thrift shop, and plug it into your camera and use the live dv feature(i know editdv has it but im not sure in premiere)so it uses your camera for a monitor.. save a couple thousand buxs and it works just as good

All too much, believe me on that... This thing is a money pit. Just when I think I have it all, I go out and get one more thing for it...

The new mac power books, are so easy and good for editing. You plug your camera into the back of the comp and you are redy to go. My friend made a 20 min movie in no time on it and it was really good.

 
Ah HA! I have had something better than OZSkier for longer than him, hahaha, I had a wireless Optical for a week or so before u hahahahaha :-P

go to an electronics store and ask someone for a firewire PORT for a DV camera for PC, theyll help u. theyre like $100
