I like Vegas, but i just got a mac and final cut express, so i haven't worked with that yet.
 
I got final cut express which is pretty nice for a basic editing. If i had more money id go with FCP or vegas. I just find macs eaiser to work with tho
 
No, some people may prefer another program. Just because you use it doesn't mean it's the best...or maybe it does, lawlzor...but seriously.

I say end thread because FCP is called the industry standard...............not because I think so. BUT I have used many of the others and nothing even comes close to the things you are able to do in fcp. I have been using fcp for 5 years and every time I sit down I find something new I am able to do. The things they teach you in school are really just scratching the surface of such an amazing software.

What I should've said was that he's asking multiple people on what they use, not just everyone until someone says FCP.

I hope to go to School of Visual Arts. I toured it a few months back and let me tell you. they have around 7 rooms stocked with Mac Pros working exclusively on FCP. I was in awe
 
I went to MSU for a year on full scholarship for media production but moved back to Colorado to be in the industry. I have been taking classes in fcp for around 4 years now.
