What do the people of newschoolers use? Not looking for something ultra fancy just a step up from imovie.
 
Check out final cut express, i personally just went straight to final cut pro. Takes awhile to get used to but so worth it.
 
Final Cut Pro is THE shit. you said iMovie so I'm assuming you have a mac, so pretty much final cut is the way to go.
