I'm looking to buy a high quality mini DV. if anyoneone has any recomendations on what camera or a website or store where I might get a good deal your help would be greatly appreciated.

How many emo kids does it take to screw in a light bulb?

the gl2 seems to be a good camera if u r lookin for a minidv cam that also has the 3CCD feature on it, if u look around u can see that it is goin down in price from place to place, at main stream stores it sells for $2999 but if u look around u can get it for 1600-1800 new

go for a gl1 - i like mine more than the gl2 and you can get it from $1200 new now instead of $3500

Go for a used GL1 or VX1000 if you want something decent. VX1000 has better sound but the GL1 has a slightly better overall picture. I've had a GL1 for about 6 months and it rules. You should be able to get either for under $1250 on eBay. If you don't have that kind opf cash, go for a mid-range Canon or Sony from eBay or a cheap online store.

 
i'd suggest canon all the way. try the Elura for a smaller, high quality, camera. i tihnk it has 600K pixels. New they're about 600-700$ for just the camera. look around on ebay. also search mysimon.com
