Video autoplay on web version

Has anyone talked about getting video autoplay on the web version of the site? I know it's a pretty intense thing to do, Reddit only just recently did it I believe. It would only be for videos posted directly to NS of course, but I think it would be very helpful for total video views, and it would encourage people to post directly to the site rather than embed (more views on videos posted directly to NS).

Anyway, I think it would be really cool. Hopefully one day!

Fuck that. I hate autoplay so so so so much. If your video looks interesting, I'll click on it. If not, then you don't deserve my play. I've managed to kill video autoplay on all sites using settings in Firefox's about:config page.
