Veterans Day

Just a thread to say thanks to all the vets serving and that have served and a place for any NS'ers to post specific shout outs to any of there friends or family.

One of my best friends, Taylor Morgan, a SFC in 1st Force Recon, this guy works as hard for his dime as any one I have ever met and cares more about every individual in this country than most can ever know. Also Cpl Austin France of the USMC, medically discharged in 06 after taking shrapnel from an RPG to the femoral artery. 2 great people who deserve a gracious "thanks" today and everyday IMO.

Can you even do that? I thought the earliest you could enlist was 17 with parent consent and even then all you can do is pt then go to basic once you turn 18. I could be wrong though.

Thank you for your service. RIP those who died defending freedom. Your service will never be forgotten.

Kinda sad when I say the pledge in my class today on vet's day and all the prick fat chicks and morons wont even say the dam pledge. Give some dam respect

Also going along with vets day, I saw a WW2 Vet, and I shook his hand and thanked him for serving so long ago, and he told me all the times he had enlisted (We were at the YMCA, not just on the streets so i had time to listen). What a great guy. He was really old but so cool. Thanks vets we owe you so much

its sad when you have people on mw2 ask whats so special about today. having 4 relatives in the armed forces now i naturally got pissed. heres what a convo went like

me- "You dont know what today is!?!"

him-"no its fucking wensday"

me-"its veterans day, go thank one."

him-"so i dont know any"

ok so now im really pissed and yelling

me-"go find one thank him that you have freedom to go stand in front of a store at 12 am so you can play a god damn video game"

and i left. the ignorance of some people

thank you to all who may have served, those who are serving, those who are going to serve.

give these men some respect. one soldier came to our school. he just returned from iraq, after being attacked. he new has no use of his arm, and has back spasms every minute of every day. he gave so much for our freedom, as he cannot do any of the activities he enjoyed before. show some respect.

yea i know, but seeing as its finals week and i just got the game i thought id play it. and im pretty sure hes amerian, cause you can use the flags as icons or whaever and he talked like a hick.
