sorry for askin this but how do i get a picture or moving icon on so when i post on a thread you see the pic above or below my name?

 
Click on "My Ns" in the header, once your there you'll see "Account

Tools" and right next to it it will say "Profile", go right under that

and click Change Icon and voila!

one last thing, all the pictures i have tried to put up as an icon are too big. it says it must be under 8k or something..do you know of anywebsites that have cool icons or anythin?
 
well you can always resize ur icon in photoshop or even paint, one easy way to find icons is hit up google image search click Advanced Image search and switch the size to small and choose a pic thats 50x50
 
or print screen something with an icon in it and crop it down to it so that you ahve the exact size that you need. then you can resize an image until it fits the little box
 
you can also right click someone's icon and save it and use it. but just make sure that it's not a custom one. choose a generic one
