Very dissappointed with Vimeo

Anyone else disappointed with Vimeo and their decision to no longer allow videos to default to HD? I mean seriously, what is this? Who is gonna know to change the quality to the "best" HD by clicking on the HD button?

I never used vimeo just due to being lazy but now I'm glad I never switched. This is fucked.

YouTube is just gross. The layout is fucked, the ads are fucked, the channels are fucked.

Yup. Made the switch a couple years ago to YouTube and haven't looked back. Honestly most clients end up using YouTube any ways and the UI is a thousand times better. Best part is it's free

Hmm.......I use an add blocker and have no issues viewing. I have a channel, but I have no adds. So I guess I'm "F"ed!

Word. There's no way to embed in the highest quality though, is there? Maybe a programmer could draw up some type of code?

Not sure if you are talking YT or Vimeo. Here, I will embed a YT video. Auto is the default. If you have the connection speed you will get 720. Then you can go to 1080, but you don't need that for most screen sizes.
