Versatile park ski

Hello.

I'm planning on buying a pair of twin tips and mainly use them in the park, so I want the binding to be true center mounted. However I really appreciate doing some piste runs where I can go fast and carve (to the limit of a ski with a center mounted binding), as well as just doing some runs with the homies who's not shredding in the park, so I'm looking for some advice on what to buy.

Is there something out there which fits my demands or is this totally a long shot? Hope you guys get what I'm searching for and if not, feel free to ask questions :)

This should be in gear talk but CT 2.0 should be good or prodigy’s feel like those are some of the most versatile park skis

Jskis allplay is a great ski for that, but I didn't center mount it nor do I know if that works as well.

Oh thanks for the reminder. I'll move it to gear talk, but thanks for the recommendation!

Is the prodigy okay for center mounting of the binding? I've already looked at the Prodigy 1.0

100% I used em this year at center have also heard very good things about the 2.0 just different widths up to you but ya

Thanks! I live in Denmark which makes it kinda hard to get it shipped cause the toll will add another 25% to the price. Its really too bad cause it love the designs of jskis and they seem to offer some great skis

Last year, I found a crazy deal on 2020 Line Chronics, and they are one of the funnest skis I've ever had. I have them mounted true center, and they are my park ski and all around crud ski too. Highly recommend

Thanks for the support!

Recommended mount is -4cm, however if you're skiing 50% or more park split the difference and mount at -2cm. Just please whatever you do don't mount at center, the way we build our skis a center mount puts you very far up the effective edge and is really washy. Mount at -2cm you'll never notice a difference in swingweight and will have incredible all-mtn performance!

Yeah seems like a lot of people really like them, i'm 189cm and can't really decide whether the 178cm or the 185cm is the right length for me if that should end up being my choice. What is yours and how do you like the length?

185cm length, I'm 6', 200LB, they feel perfect. Snappy, quick and playful

what? sorry but how is that even a question? ideally you would want like 190, but... there is none, so 185. I have about 15 days on mine now. Im your height, the chronic is a noodle for me, but such a fun noodle, and doesnt punish me toooo bad on landings when I suck and go to much forward or backseat. But Its fun for park/indoor resort. Ripping around the mountain on it? no thank you, its just too soft. speed limit is super low.

CT 2.0 2021sounds better here for sure, you get them in 188cm or poachers, but again fiarly short. (184)

You need to say how much you prioritize hooning around vs park performance and some of us bigger boys

I already own a pair of ct 3.0 which is 192, im using them for powderdays mostly cus the binding is mounted - 5 or something (cant really remember). I tried throwing them around in the park and they feel a bit heavy and long for that. I also heard people talk about the poachers being heavy, u agree?

I use 60% time on piste and 40% in the park

3.0 Heavy for air/throwing 10s and such? or railgame? I have both the 19 and 20 model (108 and 112) CT 3.0s and they are a fairly light ski, for that width, but yeah, its going to be quite big for park duty ;)

Cant remeber mount points from top of my heat, but you have both a CT line nad a all mountain something iirc?

The CT 2.0 188 will feel way lighter, as will the poachers. but even lighter.. revolt 104!

Im most stoked about the revolt 104 actually, I got to look at it at the store yesterday, suggested mount point is like -1cm, fairly light 1905 grams vs k2 poacher at 2000 grams, CT 2.0 2021 at like 2200grams. At 1905 grams its as light as a chronic, but seemed to have way more beef to it. Splay/rocker profile will make the revolt 104 a super easy butter machine that can still carve around it seems. I've got my order in for the 104 and I should be able to verify/hit the park and ski around at our indoor within 1-2 weeks. The ski got some great reviews by the guys here at NS when they got to demo it, and I think it will be awesome. Only downside is the ON3P only fanboys will not be buying you beers.

Here's a vote for Prodigy 1.0 or 2.0

I have a Prod 2.0 and it replaced the CT 1.0 as my favorite sub-100mm ski ever. It can rip groomers as hard as it can the jump line it’s stupid fun

CT 1.0s are pretty awesome. But remember OP is as tall as me ish, maybe he can add lbs as well? so they might be on softer side

CT 1.0s are so fun I got 2 pairs... in 188, but kinda bummed out no 2021 for me as they cut lengths. been using it for indoor park a this summer. got 1 pair with sharp edges, 1 with them rounded wayyyy off.

I have prodigy 2's in 189 but haven't gotten around to getting bindings on it......

Sounds great! Just got a really good deal on a pair of Prod 2.0, actually the Kengo collab. Are your bindings true center mounted?

But they revised the CT line this year and the 1.0 are more stuff than the prodigy’s now
